How do bugs in Golden Gate Park choose their homes?
Academy scientists often spend their time in the field to make observations of the habitats that they study. To best understand the tools and tricks of the trade, your students will go outside and become Habitat Scientists.
bet36体育在线真的吗As Habitat Scientists, students will collect information about the bugs in Golden Gate Park, while trying to figure out why bugs choose their homes. They will engage in hands-on activities while using real scientist tools such as aspirators, nets and beating sheets. Students will start to develop an understanding of the diversity within small habitats in Golden Gate Park.
Select Monday-Thursday in Sept, Oct, Mar, Apr, or May as your preferred visit dates to improve your chances of getting a Get Outside program for your class.
This 45-minute program for 2nd grade classes from San Francisco schoolsbet36体育在线真的吗 is offered twice daily in select months of the year, once at 10:00 am and again at 11:15 am.
We recommend you plan a visit with a buddy teacher from your school!
