In response to the latest guidelines and information from local and state public health authorities, we have decided to close the Academy to the public, effective March 12 at 5:00 pm, and to remain closed through the end of March.

As a leading scientific institution and trusted community space, we remain committed to following the recommendations of public health authorities. While we do not have any known cases of exposure to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) connected to the museum and we have not been mandated to close due to public health concerns, we are acting in an abundance of caution with the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers as our top priority and responsibility.
